This shoot was particularly interesting for me, since 1. it was the family of my previous client and beautiful model

, 2. They wanted it done at the Dry Lake Bed, 3. The weather was absolutely PERFECT for dramatic skies, 4. The girls were pretty (OMG Can you believe Lexi’s big blue so curious eyes?) and the boys were strong

Just an update of my favorite job to do, after parenthood of course

. With all the holidays and our New Years family trip to Hawaii, I completely forgot to blog my favorite family sessions’ teasers. Remember Heather I did the maternity session for? Well, baby Jade is now almost 7 months old, and I did a mini session with him and his beautiful family at the Palazzo, while they visited Las Vegas before the New Years’ Day. He is absolutely adorable and has the best sense of humor! I saw one of his home videos, where he giggles for like a minute, so I think he’s up for the good start in life

Also, I wanted to mention that one of my most awesome couple’s groom Alan  with Alan+Jill wedding was mentioned on the Down The Green Isle Blog. They were kind enough to feature our photos from their fun wedding, and also did a feature out of Alan’s MOST CREATIVE Save the date cards and Thank you cards. Just so you know, Elvis featured in Thank you cards is a character, just visit Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas to find out why LOL…

And also, if you are planing a wedding and are a fun and fabulous couple, make sure to check out Alan’s Blog, very funky, informative and super creative, and maybe Alan could design something fun and fabulous for you guys? I love his work, because of its simplicity, strong point and sense of humor in everything he does. And last but certainly not least, I had a quick early morning session today with Kelly and Tim and I wanted to show off the youngest member of their family: baby Kodi. She is so adorable and I can’t wait to photograph them all again later this fall!

Well, lots of stuff is awaiting for me within the next couple of weeks. I don’t want to jinx the things that haven’t happened yet, but I wanted to share the excitement I got from my trip to San Francisco. I truly LOVE this city and I keep falling in love every time I come here (yep, I am still here and flying back to Las Vegas tomorrow morning). It is the most European city I have visited in the US. With all its cafes, small little shops and unpredictable weather, lots of walking involved and fast pace and rude drivers

, it instantly reminded me of my home

… I noticed all the beautiful surroundings, grunge and urbanism in downtown area and just wanted to take advantage of all this beauty. We had a basic camera and a basic zoom lens ( I’d prefer prime lenses for this type of shoot), but I just couldn’t let this beauty go without a shot

. We invaded one of the children’t boutiques here in SF and ought a cute outfit for my little girl and went for it. Here is just a preview of our session today…

I love to see my previous clients’ lives evolve, families grow and be there to capture life moments… I met Tiffany when she did a boudoir session with me for her husband Kevin who is in military and often is far from home, and now we did a small family session with them and their cute little girl Isabelle. Here are some of the shots from the session… Isn’t little Belle adorable? Although not into modeling yet, she reminded me of my Yana who posed for me for a minute and traveled up and down the stairs for the remaining 45 minutes

I just saw a new product announcement by one of the labs I use for my prints, and I am in love! Maybe, because the floating wraps remind me of the pictures I remember from my grandma’s house (though I think pictures in my grandmother’s house were  acrylic coated ), maybe because they look finished, or maybe because they are an incredible eclectic example of how vintage and modern can be combined in one, and this is really something I am going for in my Portrait Photography… I can’t wait to find out more about this new product!
